It’s almost spring! The weather is definitely gorgeous. So it’s time for another post on my recently discovered favourite things. I thought I’d keep them all to the online category considering that most of the world is currently in lockdown.

Also, if you have any tips that may fall into this category, I’d be happy if you could share them with me via email or in the comments below!

Let’s share our favorites!

ART CLASSES

Flora Bowley introduced me to intuitive painting. And it changed my artistic life. The first class I took with her (BloomTrue) is still there. And she now offers other classes as well that are really inspiring.

Tracy Verdugo introduced me to acrylic inks and it opened a whole new world for me. She has a wide range of different classes: abstract, animals, landscapes, faces etc.

Alena Hennessy got me into collaging, although that is not her main style. Her style is very soft and sweet and her classes are very accessible. I can recommend A Year of Painting.

Alisa Burke is my guru when it comes to ‘living your art’ and marketing just about everything. She has a multitude of small classes that are very affordable and her instagram page is a gem.

Annamieka Hopps Davidson has an online class called ‘Wild Wonder’ which is a mixed media class that also takes you into nature. And since that is about the only place right now we can still safely go, I think you’d like this one.

Lisa Congdon has many online classes that allow you to daily challenge yourself painting, drawing but also all kinds of other creativeness. I just love her colourful world.

Laura Horn inspires me with her very distinct style and colour palette whether it’s acrylic, watercolour or mixed media.

Marisa Cummings – I have been following Marisa for many years and love her Creative Thursdays podcasts/Facebook lives etc. Her online classes are not just about art but also about how to become a successful artist.

KIDS LEARNING

The Kid Should See This is a website that was started many years ago by a mom who wanted to save the different video’s she came across that would interest her kid. They are of course not just educational for kids. I tackles areas such as space, technology, animals, nature, food,  music art…

ANTON – The free Anton app helps kids do homework at home. It is supported by the EU. German, Math, Science… Ideal when your kid wants to use a screen but still needs to learn something.

MATHEMATIC – a personalized learning platform for students allowing them to have fun learning mathematics in primary and secondary schools. In German, French, English, Portuguese.

POISSON ROUGE – The Red Fish site has been online and growing since 1999. It contains over 300 games and activities to suit all. There is no text, there are no explanations, everything is free-form and children find their way around as soon as they can hold a mouse. It’s ideal for smaller kids to learn and have fun.

ONLINE LIST – here is an online list (in French) someone else has compiled to help you entertain your kids through great online content.

BEING A WOMAN

Jumana Sophia – for the love of being a woman. I come from a generation where ‘being a woman’ and all that it entails was hardly talked about. Jumana talks about it! Love, sex, female body and psyche, and everything else. Goes very well with my word of the year (feel).

Magamama – is an offering of hope + empowerment, practical + embodied wisdom for women and new moms all over the world. Sex, birth, motherhood, Trauma… All that online!

Layla Martin – she is the founder of the Tantric Institute of Integrated Sexuality and has spent over 10,000 hours teaching amazing people like you how to experience epic sex and legendary love. Does that not make you curious?

GROWTH & SPIRITUALITY

DAILY OM
– I have followed quite a few classes from Daily OM. I started with a Deepak Chopra one some years ago. Their classes range from Art and Writing, over Meditation and Relaxation, Self Improvement, Healing to Manifesting and Money. Often classes contain audio or video and you get a class each day or week including homework. They are also very affordable. So try one!

THE TAPPING SOLUTION – I have done some tapping (or EFT) before but only since I discovered this app have I been able to do it more regularly. Tapping is a simple method that targets the same spots that acupuncturists use to address the amygdala, which is your brain’s personal alarm system. It is triggered when you experience trauma or fear and releases cortisol, the stress hormone. Tapping stimulates the body parts that help reduce and eliminate this distress. Now isn’t that useful? And free and easy to do! Try it!

GAIA – they call themselves the largest resource of consciousness expanding videos. Yoga, nature of the universe, live streamings, inspirational films and documentaries. And all that in  English, German, Spanish or French.

Impact Theory – A friend recently introduced me to Tom Bilyeu who interviews all sorts of inspiring people on life and how to execute on your potential. Health, Nutrition, Success, Personal Growth, Failure and Imperfection and living your best life.

MARIE TV Marie Forleo is a quirky, successful business woman who produces weekly tv episodes full of wit, wisdom and actionable ideas to help you create a business and a life you love. I just love her videos!

CALM APP – I have been using this app (the paid version) for a long time now and it really offers all I need in terms of meditation or going to sleep.

INSIGHT TIMER – I have been using this app (the free version) for equally as long as Calm. And it offers many different meditations and music themes from all over the world.

FITNESS & WORKOUT

YOGABALANCE – due to the recent virus situation, Luxembourg’s Yogabalance has switched to online Yoga classes. Sign into their platform and sign up for a class so that you can do yoga in your living room but still participate in a group class.

Toilet roll workout – in case you haven’t seen this yet, here’s the funny video of how to work out with the multiple toilet rolls people now seem to have hoarded at home. But besides being funny, it’s actually a pretty good workout! 🙂

The 10 best online home workouts – why compile a new list when someone has already done it. From Yoga over boxing to Crossfit.

FITNESSBLENDER – over 500 free workout videos.

Running through the woods (or the park, or the city) – absolutely free, healthy, and accessible anytime, anywhere to anyone. I use this app to track my runs.

MISCELLANEOUS

Vinted – when you are stuck at home, what better ways to pass your time than to declutter. If you start with your wardrobe, you can easily sell them via the Vinted app. Upload photos, add description and when sold, print the label and deposit the package in a pick up location.
