Day 14 of #artjournaladvent2022

Every day, I receive a prompt to create a page in my advent art journal.

Today’s prompt was

I’ve collaged a poem by Thomas Love Peacock on building castles in the air as well as a mix of Paris’ Dome des Invalides and Notre Dame.

Dreaming up images, stories, adventures has always been a thing for me.
I wrote and collages so much as a kid and teenager.
I dreamed a lot too about adventures to come and where I’d want to go and what I’d want to do.

Going abroad was a big dream.

Luxembourg at the time seemed dull.
So at 19 I moved to a Paris to work for an interior design company.

It was all adventure and fun.
Mostly penniless. But that made me thrifty😂.

So castles in the air never remain dreams for long as I have the tendency to just do it!

A dream castle I’ve held for a long time though (and which I haven’t realised yet) is to open a bookshop – or to work in one.
So if you have any suggestions…. 🤩
