Every year, certain topics return to my newsletter and blog. When I looked at my calendar I was totally shocked to see that October/November is the time I share my ideas for Christmas gifts. Can you believe Christmas is around the corner???!!! So in order to help you with ideas for the perfect gift for our loved ones, I have compiled a little list below.

Birthdate Candles

At birthdate candles you will find a unique and special candle for each of the birthdays in the year. Each candle not only has a unique scent, but by combining astrology, numerology and tarot, each natural soy and coconut wax candle also has a special message. Whether you give this for a birthday or as a Christmas gift, it will light up their room.

The Book of Everyone

This site offers personalised books, cards and maps to celebrate the uniqueness of each person. For your Mom or Dad, for a big (or small) birthday, for advice and some wise words, the books (and cards) are colourful, well designed and funny. A great and original keepsake gift.

Happinez

Happinez started as a Dutch mindstyle magazine. It launched in other languages too (French and German for example). It is now also has an international version that you can subscribe to. I love their articles, interviews and photos and it makes great material to make a visionboard.
There is also Happi Kids and Happi Body. Great for yourself or as a gift to someone special.

She Explores – the book

She Explores is I website and blog I visit when I am looking for inspiration. It is full of stories of women who create, travel and explore nature. Their podcast is worth a listen and their book is worth a read or as a gift to that woman who likes to travel but couldn’t this year.

Close to Home

I am not a huge fan of crime and thriller books. But sometimes one of them comes along and I can’t put it down. This one was in my Bookfairies subscription box and I decided to take it on vacation this summer. I finished it in no time and have ordered another book by the same author.

It’s your typical story of a girl disappearing and you trying to guess who it was. Let me tell you that I had a different idea at about every chapter but in the end was just flabbergasted…

The Book of Two Ways

Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. So each time I impatiently wait for a new one to come out. I just received this one and haven’t read it yet but the plot sounds oh so promising. Jodi always researches her topics well, is a master at crafting her characters and showing the reader different points of view of the story.

Let’s say your job is to help people die. Then you find yourself on a plane that plummets and you find yourself thinking about what your life could have been. The eternal ‘What if…’ question. What if I had followed the man I loved but couldn’t be with? What if I had not closed or opened that door.

I can’t wait for some time to start this one.

Eyecatcher T-shirts

My fellow artist and friend Caroline made this T-shirt for me. You can choose the colour and size of the T-shirt, the colour of the eyes and the stones. She also does other designs like a Luxembourg lion or a dreamy moon for example. It’s really an original gift to give someone and it’s 100% organic ring-spun combed cotton, labeled by the Fairwear Foundation. Check our her instagram for more t-shirt photos and go to her shop to contact her for your own eye-catcher!

Intuitive painting workshops

I have been organising painting workshops in my studio for over 8 years now. If you know someone who would love to paint with me, you can gift them my workshop. I will create a lovely voucher for you to print and the person can then chose the dates that suit them.

If you are interested, just reply to this newsletter or contact me here.

Thai Orchid Massage

Those of you who know me also know that I love to take care of my body. Jogging and fitness is one way of doing that. Getting a deep tissue Thai massage is another. The lovely ladies at Thai Orchid will take wonderful care of you that make all your tensions disappear into thin air. They have three locations in Luxembourg (city center, Strassen and Belair). You can get a gift voucher for a friend or book yourself with your partner.

Yogabalance classes

You know how we all set these great resolutions of starting to work out more in the new year?

Well, maybe you have a friend or family member that could use a little help finding more balance and flexibility in their life. My friend Jennifer’s yoga classes would be perfect for them! They have three locations in Luxembourg (Kirchberg, Merl, Walferdange) and offer classes in studio and online. Yoga & Barre, Pilates & Essentrics, Kids Yoga and even Trauma Yoga. Contact them for advice on which gift voucher would be best. And if you want to go yourself, maybe you can suggest to your family to get you a gift voucher!

Manduka Yoga mat

As I’m working out from home a lot now, I needed a new yoga mat on which to do my yoga, Body Balance and other fitness activities. I had tried this mat before at my friend Jennifer’s yoga class and was really happy with it, so why not order one this time. I like the high quality of the mat and that you don’t slip on it. It’s easy to clean and store away too. So if you have a friend who wants to start yoga or just simply could use a better mat, this is the one.

Krups Coffee Machine

I always drank my coffee at work. Until lockdown happened and I craved a machine capable of making me a good cup without ruining my budget. This one does the trick as it is great value for money (and you can even pay in instalments), is pretty and small enough to fit on your kitchen counter, and makes good coffee. So put this on your Christmas list or gift it to your partner or parent as a surprise!
